On WestSouthwest, Kalamazoo's City Planner explains how public input is being sought for the city's next blue print. And reporter Ted Roelofs discusses his story for Bridge on problems found at the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality five years before the Flint water crisis came to light.

Imagine Kalamazoo 2025 is the latest update of the city's master plan and strategic vision. City Planner Rebekah Kik tells us how the city is developing the plan, and how it's getting input from the public.

A 2010 audit found problems at the Michigan Department Environmental Quality. Bridge Contributor Ted Roelofs says there may not a clear line between that report and the lead contamination of water in Flint. But he says the audit shows problems at the MDEQ , including its program for testing water for lead.
