On WestSouthwest, we hear about Goodwill Industries' 20 year effort to help families out of poverty. And a former Kellogg executive tells us what a new law in Vermont could mean for food labeling.

Goodwill Industries launched the Life Guides program four years ago with 20 families from Kalamazoo County and 10 from Allegan County. It's a 20 year commitment for families with a child three and younger.

A new law in Vermont will require labeling of all foods with genetically modified organisms or GMO's. Former Kellogg executive George Franklin says the law in one state would have a nationwide impact. He explains the policy and political implications of labeling food.
