On WestSouthwest, we sit down with Kalamazoo College President Eileen Wilson-Oyelaran before she retires at the end of the month. And we talk with Gongwer News Service Editor Zach Gorchow about the chances of a Donald Trump victory in Michigan.

Eileen Wilson-Oyelaran has been Kalamazoo College's president for the last 11 years. She is retiring at the end of the month. WMUK's Gordon Evans talked with Wilson-Oyelaran about her time as K-College's president and major challenges for higher education.

Gongwer News Service Editor Zach Gorchow joined us last month to discuss what Donald Trump's campaign for President could mean for other Republicans on the ballot. But he has written a new blog post for Gongwer in which he tries to come up with a way that Trump at least can come within "striking distance" of winning Michigan's 16 electoral votes. Gorchow explains the scenario, and tells why he doesn't believe the numbers will add up to a Trump victory in the state.

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
