A Western Michigan University Trustee who stayed on the Board after moving out of state is leaving it after all.

Ron Kitchens left Michigan about half a year ago to take a job in Alabama. He’s the former head of the economic development agency Southwest Michigan First.

In a statement today, the University thanked Kitchens for his service to Western, and said Governor Gretchen Whitmer would appoint his replacement.
