The Kalamazoo Singers' season continues this Sunday with a program of 20th-century works by North and South American composers.
Director Rick Phelps reveals that many selections are lifetime favorites, including Morten Lauridsen's setting of James Agee's poem "Sure On This Shining Night." The choir, which was founded thirty-eight years ago by Mel Ivey, will also perform another setting of James Agee's text. It's by the writer's friend, composer Samuel Barber.
