Western Michigan Choirs Present Free Choral Showcase On Sunday

Three topchoral groups at Western Michigan University will join together Sunday to sing about life's unifying moments in a free program called And So It Goes: The Cycles of Our LivesIn a conversation with Cara Lieurance, Dr. Kimberly Adams, director of the University Chorale, says she landed on the idea earlier in the summer, when her music player landed randomly on the King's Singers' choral adaptation of Billy Joel's pop tune, "And So It Goes."

Adams discusses other works on the program, and previews the University Chorale's upcoming tour to the Baltic states.  She also gives an overview of events at the American Choral Directors Association Michigan conference. It features two days of workshops and concerts at the First United Methodist Church in Kalamazoo on Saturday and Sunday, October 28 and 29. There will be four concert sessions over the two days which highlight a variety of choral groups.
