The Story Behind The Cannabis Cover

Cannabis production in west Michigan is booming for small and large operations, and award-winning reporter Chris Killian writes about the state of flux in the industry for November's issue of Encore Magazine. "It's a little like the Wild West," says editor Marie Lee, in a conversation with Cara Lieurance.

Other stories this month focus on the art of charcuterie, which has risen above the old meat-and-cheese boards of the past, and a new kind of party planner who sets up sleepovers for kids or adults.

Encore Magazine can be read online, delivered to your home, or picked up at various locations around Kalamazoo.

Cara Lieurance is the local host of NPR's All Things Considered on 1021 WMUK and covers local arts & culture on Let's Hear It on 89.9 Classical WMUK weekday mornings at 10 - 11 am.
