Obama Visits Ann Arbor, Calls for Higher Wage

President Obama’s campaign to raise the federal minimum wage brought him to Ann Arbor today. Gongwer News Servicereports the president spoke to an audience at the University of Michigan this afternoon.

Obama told the group of mostly young people that raising the minimum wage to $10.10 per hour would raise millions of people across the country out of poverty “right away.”

The president also said that “nobody who works full time” should have to live in poverty.
