Outside Money Dominates State Campaigns

WMUK

Detroit Free Pressanalysis finds that the identity of donors is often hidden from the public. Other times, figuring out who is contributing can be very difficult.

The Michigan Campaign Finance Network has reported that most of the nearly $18-million spent on political campaigns this year, only $4-million has come from candidate campaign committees.

Gordon Evans became WMUK's Content Director in 2019 after more than 20 years as an anchor, host and reporter. A 1990 graduate of Michigan State, he began work at WMUK in 1996.
