National Democrats have canceled an ad buy in the Congressional district that includes the Upper Peninsula.
Roll Call reports that the decision is one in a string this week by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, indicating that Democrats see fewer opportunities to pick up House seats. Earlier this week ad buys were cut for three other districts in Michigan.
Democratic analysts tell the Gongwer News Service that the DCCC appears to be focusing on "playing defense" to avoid losing additional seats rather than picking up new ones.
