Flags at Kalamazoo City Hall will fly at half-staff Friday to honor former City Commissioner Edgar Gordon.
He passed away in July at the age of 91. A news release from the city says the honor for Gordon is in accordance with city tradition. He served three terms on the Kalamazoo City Commission from 1995 to 2001. Gordon also served on the boards of several organizations in Kalamazoo. A memorial service for Gordon will be held Friday morning at First Congregational Church on West Michigan Avenue.
