More congressional hearings on the Flint water crisis have been planned. The U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee says it will spend some time next Wednesday considering “impacts and lessons learned” from the crisis. As the Gongwer News Service reports, the committee has not said who it will ask to testify at the hearing. Sixth District Representative Fred Upton chairs the committee. Upton said in a statement that the hearing’s purpose is not to assign blame for Flint’s water, but to look for ways to avoid similar problems going forward.
