Western Michigan University

Two Western Michigan University aviators will be part of an air race for women over the next three days.

2016 Western graduate Elizabeth Bates and senior Shelby Satkowiak will compete in the Air Race Classic. The 27-hundred mile race begins in Prescott, Arizona Tuesday and will end Friday in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The 87 year old cross-country race features the top women aviators in the nation. Western’s team is among 51 competing this year.
