In November, WMUK's Earlene McMichael spoke with YWCA of Kalamazoo CEO Grace Lubwama and Deborah Davenport, Director of Community Health Services in the Los Angeles County Health Department. They discussed a new effort to address the high racial disparity in infant mortality in Kalamazoo. The next action meeting is scheduled for March 15th.
Western Michigan University Professor Brian C. Wilson is the author of Dr. John Harvey Kellogg and the Religion of Biologic Living. He discussed his book with WMUK's Zinta Aistars for an interview that aired on WestSouthwest December 8th. Wilson is scheduled to talk his book at the Portage District Library on January 15th at 6:30p.m.
