Young Michiganders will not face drug charges when reporting life-threatening emergencies related to prescription drugs. That’s under a bill Governor Rick Snyder signed into law Wednesday.
Republican state Representative Al Pscholka introduced the so-called “good Samaritan” law.
“This allows immunity for people under 21 if there is a medical emergency to get help. So, I think this is something that can save lives," he says.
The new law takes effect in 90 days.
