The Kalamazoo County health department will begin vaccinating children ages 5 to 11 with the Pfizer pediatric COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday, by appointment, and Calhoun County will offer walk-in vaccinations for young children starting Monday.

The Saturday clinic in Kalamazoo will be held at the County Health and Community Services Department at 311 East Alcott Street from 9 am to 1 pm. Families need to sign up in advance at KCHCSD's website or by calling 269-373-5200.

Beginning Monday, pediatric vaccines will be administered during regular clinic hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children must have an appointment and must be accompanied by one adult to get the vaccine.

Calhoun County will begin vaccinating children ages 5 to 11 at walk-in clinics on Monday in both Battle Creek and Albion. There's more information at the health department's website.
