The 6th annual Beethovenfest! to benefit the Kalamazoo Junior Symphony Orchestra will feature two soloists who are partners in music and life: violinist Dylana Jenson and cellist David Lockington, best known as music director of the Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra.
Maestro Lockington tells Cara Lieurance about his wife's involvement in an earlier Beethovenfest! concert, and his early experience with youth orchestras. They also talk about the Concerto for violin and cello, Op 102 by Johannes Brahms, and the composer's personal connection to the older Beethoven.
The concert is Saturday, Dec 28 at 7:30 pm at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Kalamazoo.
