Calling all families! ☀️For a fun and exciting afternoon together outside, come to Wesley Woods’ Family Fun Day on Sunday, April 28, 2-5 pm. This free event introduces your family and friends to the amazing experiences at camp. Enjoy archery, games, arts and crafts, BBQ picnic, tours. Your RSVP below helps us plan.
What to expect:

Wesley Woods is a Grace Outside destination.
Born in 2005, Harmony Zhu began piano study at The Juilliard School at age eight, with teachers including Emanuel Ax and Veda Kaplinsky. She was recognized as a Young Steinway Artist at age 10 and made her debut at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium at age 14. She won the 2021 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, becoming the youngest artist on the YCA roster. Named a 2024 Gilmore Young Artist in 2023, she is a student at the Brearley School in New York, class of 2024. Ms. Zhu will play selections by Chopin, Hayden, Schumann and Scriabin. Ms. Zhu's performance is presented by Sunday Afternoon Live in partnership with the Gilmore Piano Festival.
Sunday Afternoon Live! concerts are free to the public and include a family friendly reception where patrons can meet the artists and enjoy fellowship with each other.
The mission of Sunday Afternoon Live! is to enrich the cultural life of the greater Battle Creek Community and to continue the tradition of the First Congregational Church as a patron of artistic creativity and expression. We endeavor to do this by sponsoring a series of free concerts that present musical artistry that is exciting, beautiful, varied and enjoyable. We will underwrite the concerts by means of donors and sponsors in order to make the concerts available to the entire community.

Announcing the return of the ultimate glass blowing competition! Glass blowers from all over the region will descend upon Kalamazoo for two days of head-to-head battle in the hot shop and flame shop. Witness the thrilling action as they clash to capture the victory belt in a series of artistic competitions. Cheer on your favorite performances and cast your vote to help decide who receives cash prizes, trophies, and bragging rights!
This year’s Glass Blowers Battle competition will begin on Friday May 3 with the collaborative Bronson Children’s Hospital “Sculpture Throwdown” in the Hot Shop as well as the “Flourishing Functional Art” event in the Flame Working studio. On Saturday May 4, the competition in the Hot Shop will feature the “Centerpiece Showoff”, along with individual Marble and Pendant making competitions in the Flame Working studio.

A celebration of the arts: Music, educational workshops, bands, artist, food and fun! Bands: Calabogie Road Bluegrass Band, The Bronk Brothers Country Band, The award-winning Allegan High School Band, Crooked Root Americana Band. Denise Davis and the Motown Sensations Band from Detroit. Lots of artist and their art will be available to the public. Food provided by the Allegan Band Boosters throughout the day. Band performances will be in the high school Performing Arts Center. A full day of fun for the entire family and free.

Earthcraft Skillshare is family friendly weekend camp out focused on hands-on Ancestral Skills.
There will be over 50 classes, many of Tillers International instructors, regional and world-wide educators.
