Executive director Peter Gistelinck positive on KSO's potential

Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestea

The former executive director of the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, Peter Gistelinck draws upon a lifetime of musical experience.

Raised in an intensely musical family, he fostered relationships with musical luminaries such as Michel Legrand, Jessye Norman, and Marvin Hamlisch, and is himself an active composer and arranger. Peter Gistelinck tells Cara Lieurance he's excited to work with KSO music director Raymond Harvey in the seasons leading up to symphony's 100th anniversary in 2021.

Cara Lieurance is the local host of NPR's All Things Considered on 1021 WMUK and covers local arts & culture on Let's Hear It on 89.9 Classical WMUK weekday mornings at 10 - 11 am.
