Greg Jasperse has his hands full as a professor of vocal jazz at Western Michigan University, and director of the school's renowned vocal jazz ensemble Gold Company.
He's also continuing to perform and arrange for professional vocal groups Vertical Voices and Sixth Wave on both coasts.
In a conversation with colleague and friend Keith Hall, Greg Jasperse describes how he built his career as a singer after graduating from WMU and moving to Chicago and later, Los Angeles. They also discuss his approach to teaching aspiring young vocalists.
Jasperse also performs five songs, from his own compositions to works from the Great American Songbook.
