MDOT Grants To Help Keep Facilities in Michigan Counties

WMUK

Five Michigan counties received transportation grants Wednesday in order to support 356 jobs in the state.

According to a press release by the Michigan Department of Transportation, the grants will go to help traffic flow and road conditions near expanding corporations in the state.

Most of the companies that stand to benefit are in northern Michigan and the Detroit area. But so will VCI in St. Joseph County, a racking system and parts manufacturer for aerospace, auto, and energy industries. The grants from MDOT are in an effort to encourage companies to keep their facilities in Michigan.
