SW Michigan Schools Get Improvement Grants

WMUK

Several public schools in Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, and Benton Harbor are getting state improvement grants.

The Detroit Free Press says they're among 19 low-performing schools that will share $114 million to help bump up student achievement.

The Washington Writers' Academy and the Woodward technology magnet school in Kalamazoo are among them. So is the Dudley School in Battle Creek along with three schools in Benton Harbor, including that district's high school.
