Traffic Fatalities Rose In Michigan Last Year

Traffic fatalities in Michigan were up 10%  in 2015, compared to the previous year.

Numbers released Monday by the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning show 963 people died in vehicle accidents last year, up from 876 in 2014.

State officials say the largest increase was fatalities for bicyclists. There were also significant increases in alcohol-related deaths, and deadly accidents involving motorcycles.
