Governor Rick Snyder has appointed the chief operating officer of Zhang Financial Services to Western Michigan University’s board of trustees.
Snyder announced Lynn Chen-Zhang’s appointment on Thursday. She replaces Dana Debel who has resigned from the board. Chen-Zhang is also vice president of Western Michigan University’s foundation. Western’s Zhang Legacy Collection Center, which includes the university archives, is named for the family. They are major donors to WMU.
Chen-Zhang will serve the remainder of Debel's term, which expires December 31, 2018. The appointment is subject to the advise and consent of the state Senate.
