In an interview with Cara Lieurance, Marckx says she's learned new music for solo violin during the pandemic shutdown. She'll showcase works by Prokofiev, Bach, and Ysaÿe in her online concert. Her sister, cellist Olivia Marckx, will join Charlotte to play a movement from Brahms' "Double" concerto as well.

Marckx was awarded a Davidson Fellowship in 2019, which allowed her to purchase her a new violin, a 1920 Scarampella she named "Sam," after Samwise McGee in the Lord of the Rings series.
