State Representative Matt Hall says the Office of the Auditor General has scheduled an expedited follow up review of the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.

Hall, a Republican from Marshall, is chairman of the House Oversight Committee. He says it’s important to follow up quickly on an audit from June that found poor business operations at the home in Grand Rapids. Hall says he is concerned that money from veterans’ accounts was not accounted for and that prescriptions were not refilled in a timely manner.

The Office of the Auditor General will begin its review in September and will have its findings ready in January.
