Kalamazoo County's health officer says it may begin receiving doses of a COVID-19 vaccine as early as next month.

Jim Rutherford says healthcare workers and first responders will get the shots first. Then they'll go to the elderly and chronically ill. Pfizer says it plans to ask for federal approval of its Coronavirus vaccine later this month.

Rutherford says his department is getting more special refrigerators needed to store the vaccine.
