Raymond Harvey, music director of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra, recently spoke with WMUK's Cara Lieurance about the life and music of composer Benjamin Britten.

Born 100 years ago in the British coastal town of Lowestoft, Britten's music is the focus of The World of... Benjamin Britten which will be presented by the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra on Sunday, Oct. 6. Raymond Harvey narrates and conducts the concert.

Cara Lieurance covers local music with live morning interviews, and produces WMUK's Let's Hear It weekday mornings at 10 am Mon-Fri, showcasing local interviews and performances. She also produces The Pure Drop, an hour of Celtic music, with musician Dave Marlatt.
