Andrew Hsu, who was named a 2014 Gilmore Young Artist earlier this year, may have been singled out for the brilliance of his pianism, but his work as a composer may turn out to be his greatest legacy.
Cara Lieurance talks to the 19 year-old California native about his solo recital program for the Gilmore International Keyboard Festival, and the Schumann Concerto he'll play with two orchestras during the festival. Hsu also pays tribute to his years of study at the Curtis Institute, and tells the story of how he learned he'd become a 2014 Gilmore Young Artist.
