The Axiom Brass, a featured ensemble on this year's Fontana summer festival, will perform a mixed program of early music to modern, sacred and secular works at the Holy Family Chapel at Nazareth Center.

Cara Lieurance talks to trumpeter Dorival Puccini and tubist Kevin Harrison about the quintet's association with Chicago's music scene, its efforts in outreach, and its commitment to discovering and commissioning new works.

Cara Lieurance covers local music with live morning interviews, and produces WMUK's Let's Hear It weekday mornings at 10 am Mon-Fri, showcasing local interviews and performances. She also produces The Pure Drop, an hour of Celtic music, with musician Dave Marlatt.
