Joel Mabus, the versatile, multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter, is playing from his home office during the COVID-19 pandemic. His YouTube channel offers a series of short videos that trace the weeks of the pandemic with songs he thought "might help a little."
Mabus talks to Cara Lieurance about adapting to making videos, and they look back on his astonishing variety of albums, now at over 25. Most are available directly from Joel through his website. They also speculate on the treasure trove of newly-public-domain material from 1924 that may inspire some new song settings.
