Republican State Representative Cindy Gamrat of Plainwell says she'll run for the GOP National Committee.
The Gongwer News Service says Gamrat announced her intention to run Thursday.
She faces two other candidates, including Mary Whiteford, who lost to Gamrat in the 80th House District primary last year. The other candidate is Kathy Berden of Sanilac County. Other candidates may also seek the post.
The winner will be chosen by the state Republican Party Committee.
