Tom Fielding is the director of liturgy and music at St. Augustine Cathedral in Kalamazoo.
On Friday at 7 pm, he steps out of his accompaniment role to perform as a solo organist on the music series he created in 2012, called "Sacred Music At The Cathedral."
The program includes works by French, German, and North American composers, spanning 300 years of music history. Mr. Fielding talks about his different roles as a liturgical musician and as a soloist. He also will perform a work of his own composition, inspired by St. Paul's Cathedral in London, England.
