The WMU Board of Trustees has voted to approve the purchase of the Newell-Rubbermaid building on WMU’s Parkview Campus — while another buyer said they were already in the final stages of finalizing the sale.

The WMU Board of Trustees is set to decide on the acquisition of the former Newell Brands Design Center, as it looks to move its physical plant operations out of a century-old building.

Unless blocked by the Senate, Stryker and Zaagman will replace trustees Chen-Zhang and Edgerton at the end of their terms.
